The Clock Tower, Market Square, Chesham If you want to get involved, please get in touch with us. |
Chesham lies on the River Chess in the South Buckinghamshire. Set in the Chiltern Hills, Chesham still has many of the beech trees that gave rise to its brush making industry. The town still boasts a good number of unique shops. With a population of more than 20,000 and over 100 town centre shops - there are a lot of plastic bags in Chesham. In March 2005, Chesham became the first Fair Trade town in Bucks. Let's make it the first Bucks town to go plastic bag free. |

On May 9th, we will be outside Sainsbury's encouraging the shoppers to 'try something new' and carry their own shopping bags! We will be in the car park to discuss the reasons behind the campaign and why we want to make Chesham a Plastic Bag Free town. Our thanks to Julie White in PR for helping us in this venture and to store manager, Mark Jacklin, for letting us promote the campaign. Future DatesSeptember 6th we will be at Hazeldene Farm's open day. September 12th we will be in town for what promises to be a very special day. More about that later! |
